Event Description: Join the Kanab Trails Committee, a team from the BLM Kanab Field Office, High Desert Backcountry Horsemen, and other partners for a field-work party to construct a new trail that will connect Tom’s Canyon with the Golf Course Rim Trail in Pugh Canyon. This is an exciting day for Kanab City that you won’t want to miss! Take part in developing a hiking trail in the City’s Trails Master Plan on the Vermilion Cliffs! Enjoy being part of a spirited group of residents and visitors who tackle this important community development project. Participants will be registered as volunteers with the BLM and must wear work clothes, sturdy footwear, hats and gloves. Hand tools will be provided including mattocks, rakes, hoes and shovels. This will be somewhat strenuous outdoor work, lasting into the afternoon. Bring your own water, sun protection, and snacks. This is a registered National Trails Day Event!
