• Trail Maintenance/Construction: 1 mile(s) | | Pre Registration: Yes | | Event Description: In partnership with Friends of the Eagles Nest Wilderness and Summit Fat Tire Society, join Friends of the Dillon Ranger District for National Trails Day at Horseshoe Gulch.
Volunteers are needed to restore the Hoseshoe Gulch Trail (Dredge Boat Trailhead) by building water diversion structures along this beautiful trail. Volunteers should dress for a day on the trail - bring water, work gloves, layered clothing including long-sleeved shirt, long pants, sturdy boots, sunglasses, sun hat, sunscreen, and insect repellent, for an enjoyable day. Meet at 9:00 for coffee and bagels to start the day, snacks and beverages will be provided at the end of the work day “trailgate” party.
