• Childrens programs/activities | | Pre Registration: No | | Event Description: The push is on to get Shepard Point Trail open and you can join us on Saturday, June 5 at 9:00 a.m. at Green's Ferry Shelter. The day begins with a safety talk, use of tools and then on to the trail as we push to finish the last 1/2 mile that meets up with Shepard Point Trail. This trail was damaged by land slides two years ago and with the loss of Trail of Tears most popular trail, the park employees knew they had to come up with a plan to be able to utilize the trail. Participants are asked to wear sturdy shoes/boots, bring gloves, bug spray, water and a fanny or back pack to carry items. Lunch will be provided. |
