AHS supports Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hikes

On Saturday, March 8, 2014, American Hiking Society attended Washington, DC’s 10th Annual Brewer’s Ball to support Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s Xtreme Hike Series.  Part of CFF’s Endurance Sports Challenges, Xtreme Hikes encourage participants to raise money for CFF by getting friends and family to sponsor the participant’s completion of a 10-35 mile hike.  All funds raised directly support CFF’s mission to accelerate the development of new drugs to fight cystic fibrosis, improve the quality of life for those with CF, and ultimately to find a cure.

The XTreme Hike series will take place across much of the U.S. in 2014, with thousands of hikers in attendance as they raise funds and awareness for those living with cystic fibrosis. Some of the more well-known trails that will host XTreme hikers are the Glacier Point Trail in Yosemite National Park, the The Ozark Trail in Missouri, and the Tuscarora Trail in Virginia.

AHS is proud to support an organization with such a strong mission, and we look forward to seeing these XTreme hikers on the trail!
