AHS Staff Celebrate National Trails Day® 2014

On June 7, American Hiking Society staff will celebrate National Trails Day® by attending and supporting the Harper’s Ferry Outdoor Festival (HFOF) at the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship in Purcellville, VA.  HFOF is a yearly event held to raise money for river and environmental conservation and to raise environmental awareness. The Festival is used to bring together participants, activists, and enthusiasts of the many outdoor activities in our area including kayakers & canoeist, rafters, hikers, bikers, campers, anglers, climbers, bird watchers and anyone else who shares our love and concern for our natural environment. American Hiking Society will be there to distribute hiking information, to promote hiking and volunteer stewardship, and to give “Ten Essentials of Hiking” demonstrations.
