American Hiking Society: Trail Directory

The National Trails Directory was first created in 1995 to:

Encourage the involvement and interaction of citizen groups and government agencies in trail projects and programs to work toward the goal of "Trails for All Americans," a 1990 agenda jointly issued by the federal government and the trails community.
Help groups that have common trail interests and goals to connect for a common purpose.
Offer a source of contacts for those interested in volunteering to help with development, construction and maintenance of trails.
Provide a source of contacts for those individuals and/or citizen groups just starting out on their own trails project.
Promote, strengthen, and help unify the trails community nationwide.

Today, the National Trails Directory includes all types of trail organizations and managing agencies. Groups range from federal agencies to local hiking and biking clubs. Please take this opportunity to add your organization or managing agency to this great resource for the trail community.
